Utilizing Hands on theraputic modalities to promote relaxation, improve circulation, relieve tension, and encourage peak performance of our equine athletes.
Similar to humans, our equine athletes can become body sore from a variety of things. Whether it be due to injury, overuse, or simply stepping wrong coming off the trailer these little aches and pains can add up and effect their preformance. We as athletes take the necessary steps to prevent ourselves from the aches and pains of everyday life so why not give our horses the same opportunity. Benefits to equine sports massage can include:
Reduced muscle tension and pain
Improved circulation assisting in recovery from injury
Increased flexibility and mobility
Reduction in stress due to release of endorphines
Improved mental well being and relaxation
and Many More!
My name is Dianne and I am a Certified Equine Sport Massage Therapist, avid horse owner, and Barrel Racer. Growing up with a mom that was a professional barrel racer, there is not a time in my life that I have not been around horses. From a young age competing in horse shows and rodeos I have seen what these incredible athletes can do and have a passion to see them perform to best of their abilities! My mom always said, "A good horse doesn’t just have the talent to compete but they also have the heart and willingness to", with that being said it’s up to us as horse owners to help our equine athletes feel their best when it comes to trying their heart out and it is my goal to help you and your equine athlete optimize your performance in healthy, stress reducing way!
The black horse in this image is why I massage. Sam is what I refer to as a walking vet bill with all the try in the world. In the summer of 2025 at 9 years old he was diagnosed with mild kissing spine, I was recommended to do rehab and if his back pain didn’t improve to look at injections or possibly surgery. After extensive research I got him on a regiment of regular chiropractics, massage, and bemer treatments combined with stretches and trot poles to help build back strength and now after a long 4 months I am back to competing on him. As an Equine Sports Massage Therapist I believe the best protection for a horse is prevention and after learning my lesson with Sam I hope to help other horse owners prevent having to go through what I did with him!
